 Welcome to Sandown School

What a bizarre weather week! So, Sports Days were amazing, thank you so much for all your support. I am sure you will agree that the children were the stars of the show as always. It was lovely to see our Year Rs at their first Sports Day and a little sad to see our Year 6s on their last.

If you were unable to attend the Year 5 parent meeting on Monday about secondary transfer and the Kent Test process please look on the school website for the presentation with key dates and if you have a query or question please find myself or Mrs G.

Please look for the accompanying letter today with regard to an open parent meeting about the Multi Academy Trust Proposal on 21 June at 6.30pm at the Landmark Centre – everyone is welcome.

See you at the gate!                                                                        Kate Luxford

Your invitation [click here] to the Open Parents' Meeting to discuss the proposed Multi Academy Trust.  This is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss.  We look forward to seeing you there but in the meantime, please find enclosed some FAQs [click here].

PESE presentation to our Yr5 parents and children [click here] or come into school for more information if needed.  This presentation explains the move to secondary school in September 2019, for our current Yr5's.

 Headteacher's Welcome

Sandown School is a hard working, fun and caring school with a passion for learning and achievement.

We are exceptionally proud of our children. They are bright and happy young people who enjoy being at school, each bringing unique talents to our community. Sandown School pupils have freedom and security to be themselves, and many opportunities to follow their interests and aspirations. At Sandown School we believe that children are better prepared for the future if they are equipped with the tools needed to enable them to become confident, independent, caring and emotionally intelligent individuals.

We hope you enjoy using this website to keep updated with life at Sandown.
