How do I apply for a place at Sandown Primary School?
Admissions to Sandown Primary School are arranged through the Local Authority. Please contact the school in the first instance and we will be happy to help you with the process. Information can also be found in the fortnightly newsletters etc.
Please ring the School Office (01304 374951) for up-to-date information on the Admission procedure. This alters during the year for in-year transfers, and for the September Reception in-take, again depending on where we are in the year, and at what point of the process we are.

If your child is due to start school in September 2022 visit our Reception 2022 page. This was created to try and give this year's children an idea of what Sandown is and who we are as they were unable to come into school until September 2021! Hopefully for our September 2022 children, we will actually be able to really meet you all!
If your child is due to start primary school in September 2022, you can appeal if you are refused a place at one of your preferred schools on National Offer Day (Tuesday 19 April 2022).
You must submit your appeal before Tuesday 17 May 2022 for it to be considered by Tuesday 19 July 2022. Any appeals received after this time will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline, or where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged where reasonably possible in line with updated guidance from the Department for Education.
